Danish IPBES publications

Expert statements

IPBES in Denmark’s expert statements are action-oriented publications on specific topics derived from the global IPBES reports, but considered within a Danish context. These statements are based on a consensus among Danish researchers and professionals, drawing on knowledge and experiences presented during symposia and workshops, as well as documented in scientific literature.

The expert statements’ primary target group includes public and private decision makers, relevant media, and interested parties. However, the statements are publicly available to everyone.

Two expert statements have been published so far: one on restoring biodiversity and ecosystems on land (2020) and another on restoring marine biodiversity and sustainable use of marine resources (2021). A third expert statement on the values of nature and biodiversity will be published during 2024.
